What it means
Anatel homologation is granted to a local representative, and the approved model is published with a homologation number that must appear on the product or in the manual.

- Cables, connectors and network equipment
- Devices that connect to public telecom networks
What it does not cover
- INMETRO safety certification where the product also falls under that scope
- Consumer warranty and after-sales law obligations
- Tax and import registration
Verification checklist
- Appoint a Brazilian representative as a legal holder
- Test at an accredited lab against the applicable Anatel acts
- Register the product and obtain the homologation number
- Display the number and keep the certificate current
